Serenity Eco Retreat was born from a shared vision between Shaun and Sothea McRoberts—a veteran and his wife—who understand the challenges faced by those who serve. Combining Shaun’s decades of experience in emergency services and veteran advocacy with Sothea’s 20 years in event management and her deep cultural roots, they created a sanctuary where healing meets sustainability.
Located in the tranquil province of Srey Ambel, Cambodia, Serenity Eco Retreat offers a space for veterans, first responders, and families to reconnect with nature, embrace mindfulness, and experience authentic cultural hospitality. Our mission is simple: restore balance, nurture wellbeing, and honor service.

Serenity Eco Retreat was hand-built during the COVID period using eco-friendly materials sourced from the local community, including sustainable timbers, bamboo, and native flora. Set along a pristine freshwater river surrounded by rice and sugar plantations, our retreat offers a truly authentic and peaceful environment.
Our permanent on-site manager, Vandi, and his family crafted every detail with heart, creating cozy bungalows, shared accommodations, and camping options. Guests enjoy Western toilets and refreshing bucket showers, complemented by home-cooked meals made from natural, locally sourced ingredients.

3-Day Retreat
